Jean-Pierre Boccara : ウィキペディア英語版 | Jean-Pierre Boccara
Jean-Pierre Boccara is a French-Italian-American nightclub and restaurant entrepreneur and artist known for founding seminal Los Angeles clubs. Lhasa Club, Lhasaland, Café Largo and Luna Park were known for eclectic bookings across all genres: music, spoken word, comedy, cinema, cabaret and pre-digital media art shows. These venues received critical acclaim not just for the range of groundbreaking acts but also for the excellent cuisine and ambiance. == Early life ==
Born in Tunisia, raised in Paris, Boccara first came to Los Angeles in 1976 as a film student. He went back to Paris where he directed and produced two short films, ''L’Homme Désintégré'' (''The Disintegrated Man'') in 1978 and ''Par Exemple: Le Poison Dans l’ Eau'' (''Poison in the Water'') in 1979. The distribution deal for ''Par Exemple: Le Poison Dans l’ Eau'' was revoked after the French government censored the film for offering "an apology for terror." It was the only film censored in France that year.
